Special Events

Specializing in turnkey special event execution from soup to nuts and everything in between; our team is comprised of creative and detail- oriented professionals that infuse youth and energy with years of special event experience. Team MKM has produced and/or promoted more than 250 major special events including the Taste of Brews’ series, Olympic Winter Games, Hello Kitty Boardfest, U.S. Open of Surfing, Surf City Marathon and the Waterman’s Ball. Sporting tours include Beach Volleyball, Bud Surf Tour, California Dreaming Marathon Series, Street League Skateboarding, Vans Triple Crown Series and the Coca-Cola/ASP World Championship Tour. MKM has promoted core lifestyle brands Hurley, O’Neill, Rip Curl, Lost, Rusty, Body Glove, Vans and Billabong either directly through “retainer” relationships or indirectly through event sponsorship.
Team MKM has worked with world-class athletes including Olympic Gold Medallist Picabo Street, X Games champions like Paul Rodriguez, Tony Hawk, Travis Pastrana and dozens of action sports starts like Kelly Slater, Rob Machado and others to generate millions of editorial impressions and national story placements. The firm has represented professional surfers Lisa Andersen, Holly Beck and Rochelle Ballard; rasing their profiles and increasing endorsements substantially.

Charity fundraising Events

MKM recently expanded into charity tasting events and craft beer, producing Taste of Brews, Twilight Tasting, Cheese and Chowder and more. Our award winning Taste of Brews Long Beach is in its 6th year and showcases 65 craft breweries and nearly 4000 attendees.
